Janice Ewing: A Few Haiku

copyright 2010
A tall amber vase
Surrounds shy purple tulips
Not ready to bloom

Daffodils arrive
In yellow party dresses
With spring green stockings

Azaleas await
The parting of the curtain
Pink peeking through green

Palette at her side
Nature sits at her easel
Chooses a fresh brush
